Their amendment would affirm the city's commitment to RCV, with improvements to reduce the number of frivolous candidates and encourage a transition to allowing voters to rank more than three candidates.
Meanwhile, Steven Hill's latest "thought of the day" explains why the city benefits from not having a runoff election this week. As a direct contrast, the city of Lewiston (Maine) this week had a runoff on Tuesday for mayor. The "winner" had fewer votes than the "loser" had earned in November.
